Grants

The Community Foundation accepts funding applications from not-for-profit organisations working for the benefit of the community of Milton Keynes. 

These can include: local community groups, voluntary sector organisations, registered charities, community interest companies, social enterprises, sports clubs, faith groups and Parish Councils. We seek to invest in projects that will offer a positive impact on the lives of people living in Milton Keynes.  We have a special interest in projects that are led and driven by local people, as well as projects that utilise partnerships between different organisations.

We offer:

Small Grants of up to £1,500
Community Grants of up to £5,000
Arts/Crafts Bursaries (amounts vary)
Extraordinary Grants (applications by permission)

When reviewing grant applications, we look for projects that have been carefully thought through and planned.

IMPORTANT: Give yourself enough time!  We cannot award a grant to fund an event or project that has already happened or pay for anything that you have already committed to pay.  

Your application needs to arrive far enough ahead that you will get our decision back before you have to spend any money.  If you haven’t left enough time, your proposal will not be eligible for consideration.  If you are unsure, please contact our grants team on 01908 690276.

Due to the limited funds available for grants, we appreciate applicants who submit frugal applications - those that only ask for the minimum amount needed to deliver the intended impact.
