Named Funds

How to Give  Named Funds

Donors wishing to make a donation through the Foundation may wish to do so through a Named Fund. This ensures the donations are targeted to specific areas and reaches the causes the donor cares about most. It is similar to setting up a charitable foundation but without the costly administrative and legal procedures.

The Foundation currently administers a number of named and themed funds on behalf of local companies:

The Baker Tilly Fund

Supports local educational projects.

The Citizen Named Fund

Supports mainly younger people’s projects and those relating to families or health.

The Horizon Fund

Supports projects supporting local families and young people as well as musical activities.

PricewaterhouseCoopers Themed Fund

Supports employment, education and regeneration projects that raise educational achievement, help develop employability skills and encourage enterprise; as well as projects that support social and economic regeneration.

The Margaret Powell (Grants) Fund

Supports projects that benefit older people and people with disabilities, regardless of age. This fund is administered for the Powell Foundation and has a significant impact on the quality of life of the fund’s target group.

The Sport Relief Fund (Government Funding)

Supports projects that increase access to sport and exercise, encourage people to take part in sporting activities that bring communities together and help people who are experiencing difficulties to regain their confidence and self-esteem.

The Women’s Fund
