We're Awarding £62,000 to Community Groups and Charities in Milton Keynes

Deadline for applications for this funding was March 12th.  
If you have submitted an application you will be notified of the decision within a week after the panel meet on April 7th.

The Foundation has been allocated this Sport Relief fund to distribute on behalf of the city by early April 2010.  Your group could benefit from up to £1,000 to support your work.  Here are the details:

1. Grants will be available for groups with an annual income of £50,000 or less

2. Grants of between £500 - £1,000 are available to support community work in deprived areas/communities of the city

3. Grants are not necessarily for sport-related activity

4. 62 grant awards will be made from the fund, so applicants will have a good chance of success if you meet the criteria

5. Examples of the kind of projects that could be awarded are: parent & toddler groups, community festivals, cross-generational work, dads and lads groups, equipment/materials for community group activities, lunch/coffee clubs, running costs for self-help groups, training costs for volunteers, sport and healthylifestyle club activities, befriending projects.
