Development grants - awarded

In March 2008, these two local projects were awarded £25,000 a year for three successive years.

The Food Bank – (Part of Into the Community)
The group has been in operation since 2004 and is designed to help individuals and families who require emergency assistance with food supplies. The Development Grant will employ a Project Manager who will structure the operation, raise awareness and take the Food Bank to its next level.

MK Credit Union - Launched in March 2006 MKCU provides a safe, ethical saving and loan facility to its members who may otherwise be excluded from financial institutions or fall prey to “door stop” lenders.  The Development Grant will employ a dedicated worker to promote membership and facilitate money management training, which is a key role in taking the MKCU forward.
