Celebrating our 25th Birthday

As one of the first Community Foundations to be created in the UK, we are delighted to celebrate our 25th Birthday!

In our first year we awarded a grant of £4,662 and today our support to the voluntary sector is in excess of £1million, something we are extremely proud of.
Since those early days, it is credit to the continued hard work and passion of our Trustees and Staff that each year we are now able to provide £1m in support to charities and community groups to enhance the quality of life for all.
With the addition of our Community Representatives, President, Vice Presidents and Ambassadors we are engaged with our community and have over 200 donors who ensure we are sustainable – here in perpetuity.
For 2011, to mark the start of our 25th Birthday celebrations, our work with the last High Sheriff, Countess Howe culminated in the High Sheriff’s Concert in January 2011 which launched our 25th Birthday Fund appeal. At the same time we launched our new brand which highlights the vital role we play in connecting and growing our community and reflects the creativity, energy and vibrancy of our organisation as it stands today and going forward.
To all of you who have helped us on this 25 year journey, we wish to express our heartfelt thanks for your hard work, passion and determination in creating the MK Community Foundation as it is today, your charity, supporting your community.
