The Community Foundation

The Milton Keynes Community Foundation is a local independent grant-making charity and one of 64 Community Foundations in the UK that raises funds and makes grants to local charities and voluntary groups, directing monies to meet the needs of the community.

Community Foundations are a rapidly growing network of grant-making organisations across the United Kingdom. We belong to the national umbrella organisation known as the Community Foundation Network.

Each year we support a wide range of projects that benefit local people; including those with special needs and other disabilities, children and youth groups, older people and projects that develop the artistic and cultural life of the City.

To offer this support we rely on donations from individual and corporate donors, whose generosity supports our grant making programme.

Donors are secure in the knowledge that every penny they donate is spent directly on supporting local people and every effort is made to make sure supporters are kept in touch with the impact of their giving.

The Foundation's subsidiary, MK Community Properties Ltd, meets the aspirations of the Foundation by providing subsidised accommodation to local community and volutary sector organisations.
