In celebration of our 25th Birthday, the Open University (one of our founder members) has enhanced their commitment to supporting the city’s voluntary and community sector by establishing a Named Fund with us.
The Open University first came to Milton Keynes in 1969 under the leadership of Professor Walter Perry, the first Vice-Chancellor. Its presence in Milton Keynes has grown significantly over the last 40+ years and its history is intrinsically linked with the growth and development of Milton Keynes and the MK Community Foundation.
“We are passionate about supporting the local community and were delighted to create The Open University Fund. Working with the MK Community Foundation is a great fit because we are both committed to a long term partnership and to meeting the growing needs of our local voluntary sector. ” Edith Prak, Director of Development.
We look forward to reporting on the impact of the Fund in the months ahead.
