Kum's £100 Gift

Date Posted:16/01/2012

When local man Kum Chong won £100 in his BP employee incentive scheme, he very kindly chose to donate it to our Surviving Winter Appeal.  And thanks to the Dept. of Health Match funding (plus Gift-Aid) the value of Kum's gift is now worth £250 for our appeal.
Kum explains why he chose to support us,
"When I learnt about the good work you are doing with the Surviving Winter Appeal to make people’s lives better during the cold months I knew you could make my donation go a long way and with it you could help lots of other people"

"We are always so grateful for local generosity like Kum’s and now with the match opportunity, all gifts are further enhanced meaning we can extend our support for vulnerable people even further this winter." explains Sarah Sweet-Rowley MK Community Foundation's Marketing Manager.

MK Community Foundation have partnered with Age UK Milton Keynes, MK YMCA, The Foodbank and SSAFA Forces Help to ensure the funds raised through this appeal will directly support those most in need.  Typically, winter relief items such as blankets, duvets, emergency food and clothing, hot water bottles and draft proofing will be supplied.

Every £1 received for this appeal will be matched, please give whatever you can afford TODAY to support older and vulnerable people this winter.  You can Donate Here or contact us by calling 01908 690276.
