CAR RAFFLE REACHES £950k!

Last week, the winning ticket for this year’s Community Car Raffle was drawn at MK Lions Basketball Team’s Arena by their first team player Ishamel Fontaine. The £33,348 raised this year now brings the grand total of money rased for Milton Keynes by the Car Raffle to over £950,000 since it began in 1989.

At least 50% of these funds go to the MK groups & charities who sold the tickets and the remainder supports the continued work of MK Community Foundation.

MK Community Foundation extend very grateful thanks to both Volkswagen Group UK Ltd and thecentre:mk for their continued support and partnership throughout the years, helping to make this community event so successful.  Special thanks also to the 111 MK community groups and charities who worked tirelessly to sell the tickets to raise vital funds for our communities this year.

This year’s lucky winner of the VW Golf is Andrew Evans from Gillingham in Kent. Mr Evans will be presented with his car at a presentation evening at VW, Blakelands next month. Congratulations to the Royal British Legion Jubilee Branch, the winning ticket was one of the 849 tickets they sold.
