DIRECTOR OF PHILANTHROPY

 
Salary: £32,000 - £42,000 (Dependent on experience)
(This includes 5% pension contribution, payable on successful completion of a probationary period).
 

Milton Keynes Community Foundation is an independent charity that

If you have strong skills in relationship building, fund development and leadership, you can make a significant impact on the growing community of Milton Keynes and its region.

As a member of the leadership team your role will spearhead the Community Foundation’s Strategic Framework in respect of philanthropy and fund development; proactively identify and capitalise on opportunities to secure significant financial gifts from a variety of donors, providing them with strategic solutions for their giving. You will lead and develop a regional Philanthropy Programme with three other community foundations in the Thames Valley area, be responsible for developing positive relationships with many partners including existing and potential donors, trustees and the honorary structure, and oversee all PR and marketing strategies. As a Director you will manage and develop an expanding a highly motivated fund development team, and work closely with other members of the leadership team and the Chief Executive to achieve the Community Foundation’s strategic aims and ambitious financial targets.

This is an exciting and pivotal role and it is essential you have the passion for working with donors and connecting them to the work of the voluntary and community sector. You will bring exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, charisma, energy, and empathy towards community needs, be highly organised, target driven with very good IT and presentation skills. You will embrace and enjoy working in an interesting and fast paced environment.
