Grant Making Programme 2009/10

As a result of the current economic downturn, all of our income streams have been affected and in response we have adjusted our grant-making programme for the current financial year. Our adjustments are designed to ensure we can continue to support as many projects as possible in the year ahead.  In light of these changes, please ensure you read in detail the supporting information documents when making an application.  Please refer to our grants section for full details.

Thanks to everyone who took part, our Valentine’s Day heart campaign raised over £4,000 in support of our drive to Raise £1 million for Milton Keynes by 2011.  We were delighted to receive so many great photos and so may generous donations - your combined efforts are helping to build the brightest future for Milton Keynes.
We awarded winners in 7 categories:
Niftylift Ltd - The Heart of Milton Keynes, Kents HiIl First School - The Biggest Heart in Milton Keynes, Castlethorpe Pre-School - The Brightest Heart in MIlton Keynes, Wolverton Secret Garden Society - The Most Creative Heart In MIlton Keynes, Oasis Playschemes - The Most Generous Heart in Milton Keynes, Milton Keynes Parks Trust - The Warmest Heart in Milton Keynes, Polly Coffer - The Sweetest Heart in Milton Keynes.

To view all of the submissions, please view our 'Heart' page, and you will find full details about the event on our 'Raise £1 Million' page.

The Mayor of Milton Keynes presented the winners with their awards at our recent Voluntary Sector Reception held at the Chrysalis Theatre, Camphill Communities.  It was a great event with over 100 members of the sector gathered to network and be updated on our grant-making programme for the year ahead. We enjoyed performances from grant recipients Pagrav Dance Company and the Wolverton Samba Band, Lobo Tren and food from 'Think Food'. We extend grateful thanks to Baker Tilly for their continued sponsorship of this event.
